Job description

Responsibilities

• Shape and debug new NLP and ML algorithms
• Set up strong foundational procedures for statistical data analytics and processing
• Extract insights from messy, usually un-labeled, data across multiple languages
• Collaborate with a team of scientists and software engineers to develop and implement data science projects
• Communicate findings and progress regularly to the team

Requirements

• Graduate degree or equivalent in Statistics, Computer Science, or STEM degrees
• Good statistical analysis and problem-solving skills
• Track record of providing valuable insights from large, multidimensional datasets
• Good working knowledge of Data Science technology stacks including R, Python, Spark
• Comfort with software development standard practices, including version control, unit testing, and code review
• Strong ability to communicate and visualize findings

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in large scale cloud-based data processing, such as AWS
• Over 3 years professional experience coding in Python or related
• Advanced degree in a quantitative field, or equivalent experience
• Interest in financial modeling of companies
• Up to date understanding of the state of the art in NLP and ML methods
